Compensation and Health & Welfare Benefits Vote Dec. 2022

Our Election for Compensation, and Health & Welfare, both ended. Thank you to everyone who took part and voted. 
Our Election for Compensation, and Health & Welfare, both ended yesterday  at 4:00 p.m. Thank you to everyone who took part and voted. 
  • The Vote -
    • We had 54.2% of our membership (557 members) vote passing the Compensation agreement with 98.7% and the Health & Welfare with 96.8%.
    • Ballots were sent to personal email accounts. If members did not vote on the first day, ballots were sent daily during the voting time period until they voted, or the time to vote had expired. 
    • Those who reached out to the TEA office, or officers, to update emails had their email addresses updated and ballots continued to be resent until they voted or the voting time had expired. 
    • We did have some issues with addresses at cox.net initially being bounced back. Those were resent more than daily to reach those members, until they voted, or until the voting time had expired. 
    • If you still had issues with the voting online, please let the office know and we will continue to improve upon our online voting methods. 
    • Details to remember for the payment increases:
      • The 11% increase to all pay scales will begin with your January paycheck (end of month). Our whole pay scale will shift and reflect the permanent pay increase to all levels in February of 2022.
      • The retroactive compensation of the 11% that is for the start of the school year until the January pay time period, the time before the permanent change, will be in the February pay check (end of month).
