This is to notify membership of the upcoming elections for the TEA Executive Board and For the National Educators Association Representative Assembly. This notification serves to start the process and open the nomination and election process. All information will also be posted at each site.
TEA EXECUTIVE BOARD The Following Elected Positions for the TEA Executive Board are open to nomination until January 30, 2023:
2-year terms: July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2025
Elementary School Director (2)
Middle School Director
High School Director
3-year term: June 26, 2023 through June 25, 2026
State Council Representative (1 position)

Nomination/Candidacy forms and job descriptions are now available by printing out the attached documents or by going to our website at tustinea.org.
The nomination period for the elected positions on the TEA Executive Board is Thursday, January 12th through Monday, January 30, 2023 at 4:00 p.m.
Completed nomination forms must be received at the TEA Office by 4:00 p.m. on Monday, January 30, 2023. Forms may be faxed to 714-505-6370 (please call to confirm delivery), emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or sent through district mail. Please note: district mail only delivers to the TEA office twice per week. Plan accordingly.
You may nominate yourself or another TEA member. If you nominate a colleague, please share your intent with them and have them complete and sign the Declaration of Candidacy Form.
Our By-Laws state: ... "All members of the Executive Board shall be and remain, currently paid-up local, state, and national (Active) members as a condition for nomination to and service in this position."
NATIONAL EDUCATORS’ ASSOCIATION REPRESENTIAVE ASSEMBLY (NEA-RA) The NEA-RA is the opportunity to experience the largest democratic body in the country. The Following Elected position for the National Educators Association Representative Assembly in Orlando are open to nomination until January 31st. It is a one-year term for 2023.
The State Delegation form is available online. Deadline to file is January 31st. Please scan the QR code below and follow those directions.
Additionally, please fill out the election paperwork both online for State and print out a copy of the attached, and fill out for TEA local.
NEA Representative Assembly is in Orlando, Florida July 2 - July 6, 2023. TEA delegates are expected to arrive in time to attend the 2023 California caucus and attend all 7:00 a.m. morning caucuses. The Representative Assembly concludes the evening of July 6 and often ends after 9:00 p.m. A delegate may arrive earlier or stay longer at their expense.
